No one would argue with the power of email in the workplace. Yet there are still companies having the debate over whether or not they should have a consistently branded email signature. These folks are downright crazy. Email is used more than any other form of communication in your workplace - more than phones, faxes, and even in-person meetings. Think about it - every meeting is concluded with some sort of email follow up. Why not capitalize on this space and add your brand, the ways to interact with it, and your information in every message?

The controversy surrounding Philadelphia's pop-up beer garden scene doesn't end at the questionable liquor law concerns. Some Philly restaurant and bar owners are angry, claiming that the pop-up gardens steal their already low summer foot traffic. After talking with some of these concerned business owners, I came to realize how they (and other surprising types of businesses) can really take advantage of these popular summer destinations rather than gripe about their existence. With the Spruce Street Harbor Park announcing one more month of endless lines for hammocks and wrist-band beers, I thought, why not share some of the ways businesses surrounding these destinations can take advantage too?

One process that every new hire encounters is onboarding, the training buzzword of the moment. To put it simply, onboarding is how new employees are socialized into an organization. When done correctly, onboarding can lead to higher productivity and satisfaction in job performance. But, most importantly, it provides a company with a chance to convey its identity to the people who will make it great: its new employees. Getting new hires excited about their jobs and their role within an organization will make for a more rewarding experience for everyone involved!
